Yesterday I received from Amazon Gwen Diehn's new book The Decorated Journal and Jennifer New's Drawing from Life:the Journal as Art ...both of them are wonderfully inspiring.

I got both of these on the same day too. It was almost too much stimulation at once. I'm enjoying them both.
I really enjoyed "Drawing from Life"--my fiance got it for me as part of his support for my art habit. What I enjoyed most were the offbeat projects in which people engage, like the guy who took a picture and recorded the most important thing he'd learned each day, or the guy who was photographing everything he ate for a year. Cool stuff.
